A place for people passing through

The Traveler’s Hotel story sits where several kinds of travel met: the river, railway and road brought visitors into a working pottery town. The marker recalls its Landora name and its links with performers at the Ceramic Theater. The National Register lists the Travelers Hotel at 115 East Fourth Street for its commercial significance.

More than a room for the night

A hotel in an industrial city could support business, social life and entertainment at once. Read this marker alongside the Ceramic Theater and Lincoln Highway stops to picture the network of visitors who moved through downtown. This is a heritage listing, not a recommendation or booking page for present-day lodging; use the Stay guide for approved visitor accommodations.
