Look closer at the natural world
Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center is a volunteer-run natural-history museum and learning center near the park. Its displays and education programs give visitors a way to look more closely at wildlife and the habitats around them. It is a useful companion to a creek-side outing: spend time with the exhibits, then carry that curiosity into the landscape outside.
Work around its seasonal calendar
Public opening is seasonal and concentrated on weekend afternoons, with separate arrangements for school and community groups. Check the center’s current calendar before adding it to a day plan, especially outside the warmer months. The center also explains that it does not accept or rehabilitate injured wildlife; visitors seeking animal-rescue help should use the appropriate contacts rather than bringing animals here.
Before you go
- The center publishes weekend public hours from the first weekend of May through the first weekend of October.
- School and community group visits may be arranged by appointment; confirm directly with the volunteer team.
